Ohio State Freshman Offensive Lineman Ben Christman Sheds Black Stripe

Ben Christman is “officially” a Buckeye.

A four-star offensive lineman and the No. 124 prospect out of the class of 2021, Christman is the sixth Buckeye to shed his black stripe in the month of November, and the first offensive lineman since Zen Michalski on Oct. 27.

Christman, a Richfield, Ohio, native, is the fourth freshman offensive lineman to lose his black stripe in 2021, following Donovan Jackson on Aug. 20, Toby Wilson on Oct. 20 and Michalski the week after.

Defensive back Jaylen Johnson, who is out for the season with an ACL injury, and quarterback Quinn Ewers are now the lone scholarship players in the 2021 recruiting class that have yet to shed their black stripes.
