Ohio State football | Will Meyer turn to Perry as fill-in for Bosa?

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer wants to keep Virginia Tech guessing about who will be the starting quarterback in the season opener Sept. 7. Apparently, he also wants to keep the Hokies in the dark about who might play in place of defensive end Joey Bosa.

The All-American is suspended for that game for an unspecified violation of athletic department policy, and most of the potential replacements are obvious. Meyer said Sam Hubbard, Jalyn Holmes and Darius Slade are three to keep in mind.

“Then you’ve got other potentials,” Meyer said. “You’ve got a big kid named Josh Perry who could do some things for us if we decide to change up the defense a little bit.
