Tyquan Lewis has earned a lot of responsibility on the 2015 Ohio State Buckeyes.
With a sterling spring practice, the redshirt sophomore won the starting defensive end spot opposite Joey Bosa.
“It means a lot,” Lewis said at Ohio State’s media day on Sunday. “Knowing where you come from and knowing what’s set on the table and knowing you’re playing against great people and with great people — that’s the main thing.”
Knowing where Lewis came from is essential to understanding why he is so intent on cashing in on his vast potential.
Lewis grew up in rural eastern North Carolina.
