Since coach Day took over the Ohio State football team he brought in a Top-15 Recruiting class and already began the framework for strong 2020 and 2021 classes which both rank in the top four nationally. He also landed an outstanding quarterback via transfer in Justin Fields.
It is certain coach Day spent the last month calling recruits to convince them why Ohio State was the right choice, as evidenced by offensive linemen Enokk Vimahi and Dawand Jones committing on National Signing Day. The Buckeye head coach also gained 2021 Five-Star defensive end Jack Sawyer.
He also revamped the defensive coaching staff.
