The Ohio State football program is one of those schools that is a shoo-in to be a top-five ranked team in the preseason polls pretty much every year. They recruit at an elite level and they reload instead of rebuild as a program. The same can be said for this season.
According to the preseason coaches poll, the Buckeyes are the fourth-best team in the country. They are ranked behind Georgia, Michigan, and Alabama. LSU, USC, Penn State, Florida State, Clemson, and Tennessee round out the rest of the top ten.
Personally, I think Ohio State should start ranked higher than Alabama.
