Born in New York City, Greg Lashutka migrated to Cleveland, then to Ohio State, where he began as a wide receiver before switching to defensive end and tight end. He served as co-captain in 1965. Lashutka served in Vietnam, received his law degree from Capital University, became mayor of Columbus and worked at Nationwide Insurance. He considers himself semi-retired.
