The Ohio State football program has a long history of players turning into coaches. Several former players have started coaching in both the collegiate in the NFL ranks as head coaches. Brian Hartline just recently got his first head coaching opportunity, taking the USF job.
Hartline is staying on staff with the Ohio State Buckeyes during the College Football Playoff run. Former Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George is coaching Bowling Green. Another Ohio State football legend has been given a head coaching opportunity, but it isn't in the college game or the NFL.
