The Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League kicked off their 2017 season on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Storm. Unfortunately that contest ended with disappointment as the Gladiators lost 46-40. Although the offense struggled to find their rhythm, former Ohio State kicker Drew Basil made the most of his Arena debut nailing all four of his extra point attempts.
After spending a brief time in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons, Basil had a short stint in the CFL with the Montreal Alouettes. If today was any indication, coming back home to Ohio was just what the doctor ordered.
