One of the most puzzling signings in the 2016 Ohio State recruiting class was Tuf Borland officially becoming a Buckeye. Borland was a four star linebacker from Bolingbrook, Illinois whose father played for the University of Wisconsin.
Why would Borland, a 6’2″ 225 pound linebacker, want to play for Ohio State when the Badgers wanted him? And Urban Meyer had recruited some of the best linebackers in the country the two previous years.
Possibly Borland just wanted to play for a team that had a chance to win a national championship. Obviously he isn’t afraid of stiff competition.
