Ohio State Football: Buckeyes lead the way with most NFL Draft picks

Former Ohio State cornerback Ahmed Plummer was drafted 24th overall to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2000 NFL Draft. Plummer’s pick started the domination of Ohio State football players being drafted and many have been chosen in the first round.

With 131 players drafted since 2000, Ohio State leads the pack for most NFL draft picks followed by Alabama (118), Miami (116), LSU (111) and Florida (110). The Buckeyes have had at least 3 players drafted in each NFL Draft since 2000.

The 2004 NFL Draft featured 14 Ohio State players drafted, the record high for the Buckeyes.
