Braxton Miller’s transition from quarterback to receiver looks permanent.
“He’s a full-time receiver,” Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said Monday after the Buckeyes’ first day of training camp.
After rehabilitating from a second shoulder surgery in hopes of playing quarterback, Miller broached with Meyer a few months ago the idea of switching to the hybrid position because of concerns of whether his shoulder could hold up.
Even as recently as last month, Miller held out hope that he could compete for the quarterback job with J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones. That seems to be in the past tense.
