Ohio State football | Braxton Miller draws plenty of attention at first full practice

On the first full practice of top-ranked Ohio State’s preseason camp this afternoon, there were scores of players scattered across the field, but it was hard to take your eyes off the offense’s No. 1.

That’s Braxton Miller, the fifth-year player who took stretching drills in the quarterback line, then joined the hybrid backs and receivers when practice began in earnest. He was wearing jersey No. 1, a switch from his No. 5 of previous years.

Miller's surgically-repaired right shoulder has been declared sound, but he's not yet ready to let it loose with constant velocity as a passer.
