Ohio State football | Barrett, Elflein named best at positions in Big Ten

Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett was named the Big Ten quarterback of the year for second time in his career on Wednesday, joining several offensive teammates -- including Pat Elflein, Curtis Samuel, Billy Price and Mike Weber – who were recognized by the conference.

Barrett, named the top QB in 2014 when he finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy race, gained the award again, which was expected after both the media and the coaches voted him the No.1 quarterback on their all-conference teams.

Barrett holds the school record for touchdowns responsible for (running or throwing) with 100. He threw 24 TD passes with just five interceptions this regular season while being second on the team in rushing with 847 yards, tying Weber for the team lead with nine running TDs.
