Ohio State football | Assistant coach Greg Schiano hits bicyclist with vehicle

Greg Schiano, the defensive co-coordinator for the Ohio State football team, hit a bicyclist with his car early this morning near campus.

The Columbus Police and Fire divisions, along with OSU police, were called at 6:50 a.m. to the corner of West Lane Avenue and Fred Taylor Drive on the report of a crash.

A 26-year-old male student on a bike was struck in the intersection. He was taken in stable condition to Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University, said Sgt. Brooke Wilson of the Police Division's Accident Investigation Unit.

The man, whose name wasn't available, suffered a head injury but is expected to survive, Wilson said.
