Ohio State football | Archie Griffin leads Buckeyes on 75th-anniversay All-America team

The Football Writers Association of America released its 75th anniversary All-America teams on Thursday, and running back Archie Griffin — the only two-time Heisman Trophy winner — headlined three former Ohio State players who made the first team.

The two Buckeyes who joined Griffin on that first team were left tackle Orlando Pace, from the mid-1990s, and defensive back Jack Tatum, who was part of the 1968 national championship team.

Griffin, who won the 1974 and ’75 Heisman trophies, was joined in the first-team backfield by a couple of other Heisman winners, Navy quarterback Roger Staubach (1963) and Georgia running back Herschel Walker (1982).
