The recruiting engine just doesn’t stop in Columbus, Ohio as the Ohio State football team and coach Ryan Day landed another major commitment over the weekend. Top 2022 linebacker/safety prospect C.J. Hicks announced his verbal commitment the Scarlet and Gray.
The four-star recruit from Dayton makes it a total of three commitments to the 2022 class as he joins Tegra Tshabola and Jyaire Brown.
Starting recruiting classes with strong Ohio ties seems to be a staple of Ryan Day’s focus early in gathering recruits for a class. And it seems to be working with the 2021 and 2022 recruiting classes respectively.
