The expectations surrounding Sevyn Banks entering the 2021 season continue to grow.
Banks, who's expected to be Ohio State's No. 1 cornerback this season, was one of 40 defensive backs named Monday to the Jim Thorpe Award watch list.
Entering his second year as a starter in the Buckeyes' secondary, Banks has been projected as a potential first-round pick for the 2022 NFL draft. In his first three seasons as a Buckeye, Banks has recorded 35 total tackles, 10 pass breakups, two interceptions, one fumble return for a touchdown and one punt block return for a touchdown.
