Ohio State Cornerback Devin Sanchez Becomes Fourth Freshman to Shed Black Stripe in 2025

The second-ranked prospect in Ohio State’s 2025 class is officially a Buckeye.

Ohio State cornerback Devin Sanchez was one of two Buckeyes to shed their black stripes on Wednesday, along with former West Virginia running back CJ Donaldson. Sanchez becomes the fourth freshman to add scarlet to his helmet, following wide receiver Quincy Porter, linebacker Riley Pettijohn and tight end Nate Roberts.

The No. 1 cornerback and No. 8 overall prospect in the 2025 class, Sanchez committed to Ohio State on Jan. 6, 2024, and never wavered from his pledge.
