Ohio State kicked off the 2025 season in style by celebrating Lee Corso and last year's CFP national title before suffocating Arch Manning and the No. 1 Texas Longhorns in the form of a 14-7 victory in front of a rabid Ohio Stadium crowd.
A conservative game plan combined with Texas having a damn good defense and Ohio State's defense controlling the game stifled the OSU attack for large stretches but Julian Sayin showed poise and made some nice throws along the way even as the run game offered little support outside of pretty much one drive.
But wow that Ohio State defense, despite a new defensive coordinator and a bunch of new starters, put Arch Manning in the blender.
