For every new member of the Ohio State football team, getting their black stripe removed in camp shows the hard work and dedication needed to succeed as a Buckeye. When the underclassman gets his black stripe removed, it’s a symbol to the upperclassman and coaches that he’s earned his spot on the Scarlet and Gray.

This weekend, three members of the Buckeyes 2017 class got their black stripe removed. On Saturday, it was safety Brendon White. White made it known on Twitter that he got his black stripe removed.

On Sunday, it was the duo of quarterback Tate Martell and offensive guard Wyatt Davis.
