The Buckeyes' sophomore righty had a day to remember
It almost seems like there is a script when Ohio State and Nebraska square off on the baseball field. After the Huskers secured their sixth straight late-inning victory over the Buckeyes on Friday in Lincoln, the two squads needed extra innings to decide Saturday's game. The Buckeyes prevailed, 2-1 in 10 innings.
The story all day on Saturday was pitching, as Ohio State's Travis Lakins and Nebraska's Kyle Kubat both pitched gems. Lakins went an uncanny 10 innings, allowing a run on just two hits, striking out seven.
