The Ohio State basketball program has only won one national championship in the program's long history. They won that title back in 1960, hoisting the crown as the best team in the country. They also made the national championship game in 1961 and 1962.
One of the biggest reasons they were able to do that was because of the play of Jerry Lucas. Lucas is one of the best players in the history of basketball, not just Ohio State basketball. The Buckeyes would not have won their championship if he hadn't been a big part of the offense.
