When Ohio State’s schedule first came out, I think most fans were hoping for a reasonable showing and then focus on Big Ten play. The Buckeyes have given fans a better showing than even the most optimistic might have hoped for.
Seeing Cincinnati, Villanova, North Carolina, Penn State, Kentucky and West Virginia on the schedule before the end of December many expected that would be a rough stretch of games. However, the Buckeyes made it through the majority of that stretch unscathed with only a slip-up against the Minnesota Gophers standing in the way of a perfect record.
