Sophomore Colin Zeng of Ohio State won the men’s platform diving event at the men’s NCAA swimming and diving championships at Georgia Tech.
Zeng scored 499.10 points to defeat Rafael Quintero of Arizona (482.30) and Scott Lazeroff of Auburn (436.75).
Two other OSU divers, Stephen Romanik and Clay White, didn’t make it out of preliminaries.
Ohio State was 15th in the team standings with 91 points. Texas (507.5) was in first place.
Meanwhile, at the U.S. collegiate national synchronized swimming championships in Gainesville, Florida, Emma Baransky won a solo national title for the Buckeyes.
