There is an old saying about fire.
"What fire does not destroy, it hardens."
Irish poet Oscar Wilde wrote those words in his book, "The Picture of Dorian Gray," in the late 1800s. Over 100 years later, that saying applies to the 2022 iteration of The Ohio State University football team.
This season, the Buckeyes are in the fire. They can either let the flames destroy or harden them. Ohio State is out to prove that it cannot be burnt – that it will only be hardened as time continues.
The next opportunity comes this weekend against Northwestern.
