Nick Saban's daughter apologizes for tweet accusing Ohio State of using COVID-19 excuse to postpone title game so Justin Fields can heal

Alabama coach Nick Saban's daughter has apologized for a tweet on Tuesday in which she suggested that Ohio State was using COVID-19 issues to postpone Monday night's scheduled CFP National Championship Game presented by AT&T because Buckeyes quarterback Justin Fields is injured.

On Tuesday, sources told ESPN that there had been discussions about pushing the game back to Jan. 18 because of COVID-19 issues within the Ohio State program. However, CFP executive director Bill Hancock said the game remains on schedule to be played on Jan. 11 (8 p.m. ET, ESPN/ESPN App) at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
