After trying for two seasons to find a better opportunity in the NFL, Kurt Coleman landed in a familiar place when the Carolina Panthers signed him as a free agent last spring.
It wasn’t so much about Charlotte or the Panthers’ facilities. It was the feel of place, said Coleman, a former Ohio State safety, as Carolina worked toward the NFC championship game on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
“It has been a blessing,” Coleman said on Wednesday. “I knew it when I came here, that there was something special with the organization, with the guys on this team.
