Michigan has found its next head coach.
According to reports by ESPN’s Dan Wetzel, YahooSports' Ross Dellenger and NBC Sports’ Nicole Auerbach, former Utah coach Kyle Whittingham is expected to be hired as head coach of the Wolverines.
“Whittingham's candidacy is expected to be shared with top Michigan officials on Friday, sources said, and a deal could come together in the near future if they approve,” Wetzel and Thamel reported.
Whittingham has spent the last 32 years at Utah, including 21 years as the Utes’ head coach, but stepped down from that position earlier this month.
