Ohio State won a National Championship. Ohio State went on a great four-game run to end their season to win them a National Championship. Ohio State did lose to Michigan before both of those things happened, but does it really matter in the end when the Buckeyes win it all?
Of course, losing to The Team Up North is never fun, and no Ohio State fan likes seeing it happen, but in the end, the Buckeyes come out on top even with the loss because they are National Champions. Obviously, the players, like Jeremiah Smith, hate losing to TTUN, and Smith even made the bold claim that he won't allow Ohio State to lose the next two years to Michigan, and one Wolverine had an interesting response to that claim.
