Kendall Sheffield Has Partially Torn Pectoral Muscle But Will Not Need Surgery, Per Report

Former Ohio State cornerback Kendall Sheffield has a partially torn pectoral muscle but will not need surgery after suffering that injury while participating in the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday, he told NFL Network's Kimberly Jones on Monday.

Ohio State CB Kendall Sheffield tells me he has partially torn left pec. Surgery not needed. Hes in a sling but is here on the floor, supporting his fellow CBs. Good job by him doing that.

Sheffield was unable to participate in Monday's on-field workouts for defensive backs due to his injury, which deprived him of the opportunity to prove he was one of the 2019 NFL draft's fastest players.
