Getting a jump start in the G-League (formerly the NBA’s D-League) or abroad wouldn’t have necessarily been a bad decision for him, but Ohio State senior guard Kam Williams’ pro career will have to wait a season.
According to Jon Rothstein, Thad Matta told him the Ohio State senior-to-be is removing his name from NBA Draft consideration and returning to school for his final year of eligibility. Williams had declared for the draft without hiring an agent.
It was unexpected Williams would even receive an invite to the 2017 NBA Draft combine.
