An Ohio State player has reached 10,000 career yards of total offense for the first time in school history.
J.T. Barrett reached quintuple digits in total offense during Ohio State's second offensive possession on Saturday night against Rutgers, when he ran for a 37-yard gain on his first rushing attempt of the game. Barrett entered Saturday night needing only 14 yards of total offense to reach the 10,000-yard mark.
Barrett achieved the milestone by passing for 7,347 yards and rushing for 2,676 yards.
The senior quarterback from Wichita Falls, Texas, already held the school's total offense record, having surpassed Art Schlichter's record for total offense in the season opener at Indiana.
