This season, the Ohio State Buckeyes were able to earn a first-round bye, a luxury they were not afforded a year ago. That didn't matter last season, as they were still able to win a national title.
This year, the Buckeyes have been given some extra time to prep for their first opponent. That might be good after Brian Hartline called such a poor game in the Big Ten Championship. Now, the Buckeyes know who they will be facing in the Cotton Bowl.
