The Ohio State football program decided to promote Ryan Day after Urban Meyer retired following the 2018 season. Meyer left the program due to health issues with the migraine headaches that he was plagued with throughout the season. Promoting Day was the decision that was made to keep continuity going on the staff.
Day hasn't let the program fall since Meyer left. He has led some very good teams for the Ohio State Buckeyes, including a national championship. Obviously, he still has to get past the Michigan thing, but the Buckeyes look like that issue should be taken care of this year.
