Speed kills. Just ask defenses that played against former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott. When Urban Meyer accepted the head coaching position at Ohio State he realized that he didn’t have enough speedy players needed to run his offense at its optimal level.
Then he picked up guys like dual-threat quarterback J.T. Barrett, and surrounded him with the likes of Dontre Wilson, Jalin Marshall, Curtis Samuel and Ezekiel Elliott. Well, Urban could very well be working on the next generation of these types of players in Ohio State’s 2017 class.
