Garrett Wilson Named Finalist For Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award

Garrett Wilson was named a finalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Tuesday.

The honor is given annually to the nation's outstanding Division I college offensive player who was either born in Texas, graduated from a Texas high school or played at a Texas-based college.

"The player must also exhibit the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell, including integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, community and tenacity – specifically tenacity to persist, drive, determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals," the award's website reads.

Wilson, who finished second among all Buckeyes in receptions (70), receiving yards (1,058) and receiving touchdowns (12) during the 2021 regular season, played at Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, during high school.
