Raekwon McMillan knew all about the sweep back in high school — and not just as a middle linebacker chasing down opponents’ running plays for his Liberty County High School defense in Hinesville, Georgia.
McMillan did plenty of that, to be sure, but longtime Liberty County coach Kirk Warner also regularly demanded that his players perform tasks off the field, one being that a position group must sweep clean the locker room each week.
“Every time the linebackers were up, Raekwon was front and center, ready to go,” Warner said. “He’d grab the broom and lead the way.
