Setup: Game 2 of the 2005 season promised a classy primetime game against a nonconference beast, No. 2 Texas, and a less-welcome rewarming of a quarterback dilemma. Troy Smith had won the job the season before, but Justin Zwick won two starts while Smith served a two-game suspension for improper benefits. Both would play, but who would start? And did it matter? Coach Jim Tressel then enjoyed a reputation as a big-game hunter, having won six of seven games against top-10 teams.
