Terry McLaurin’s career with the Washington Commanders could be coming to an end.
The former Ohio State wide receiver requested a trade on Thursday, according to multiple reports, amid a contract dispute with the team he’s played his entire NFL career for.
McLaurin has declined to participate in all of the Commanders’ training camp practices so far this preseason as he seeks a new contract from the team. The former Ohio State wide receiver, who will turn 30 in September, is currently in the final year of a contract worth $25.5 million for 2025. McLaurin is reportedly seeking a deal worth more than $30 million per year, which would make him one of the NFL’s 10 highest-paid receivers.
