The Ohio State football program usually doesn't have a large churn year-to-year with its roster. Unlike other programs, the Buckeyes don't have a ton of players immediately enter the portal once the season ends. In fact, they only have one player who has declared for the Transfer Portal so far.
Part of that is because of the new era of NIL. Players are able to be paid even if they aren't seeing the field as much as they would hope. Another reason why players don't flock to the portal is because of the type of players Ryan Day recruits coming out of high school.
