Former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields suffered an apparent toe injury Thursday in a practice with the New York Jets.
Per reporters in attendance, Fields was hurt in the fifth play of a team period on a rollout passing play intended for former Ohio State tight end Jeremy Ruckert, started limping, sat down on the field and eventually limped off.
A trainer checked Fields, which eventually led to him being carted off the field. Per Newsday Sports' Al Iannazzone, Fields was able to walk into the Jets' team facility on his own strength after being carted off.
