Former Ohio State Defensive End Chase Young’s Second NFL Season Ends Early Due to Torn ACL

Chase Young’s second NFL season has come to an early end.

The former Ohio State star and reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year is out for the remainder of the 2021 NFL season after suffering a torn ACL in the Washington Football Team’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Washington coach Ron Rivera confirmed Monday.

Young suffered the injury in the second quarter of Washington’s win over Tampa Bay. As he attempted to turn the corner on a pass-rush toward Tom Brady, Young’s foot got caught in the turf and his knee gave out.
