Former Ohio State Cornerback William White Dies After Battle with ALS

William White has passed away after a six-year battle with ALS.

The former Ohio State cornerback died Thursday at the age of 56 years old. The NFL’s Detroit Lions, Lima Senior High School and numerous former Ohio State players paid tribute to White on social media after learning of his passing.

We share in the sadness felt today throughout the NFL community following the news of William Whites passing. Drafted by the Lions in the 4th round of the 1988 Draft out of Ohio State, White played 6 seasons in Detroit (1988-1993) & appeared in 95 games (79 starts) for the club.
