One of the most surprising developments of the last few years at Ohio State was that of Mike Weber. Weber, a three year contributor in Columbus that started as a redshirt freshman back in 2016, was considered more of a power back when he arrived on campus. That tracked in 2016, as he racked up yards consistently but struggled with breaking away from the defense.
In his final two years however, Weber flipped a switch, and seemingly shifted away from the power back denotation and became Ohio State’s de facto home run hitter with J.K. Dobbins filling the workhorse role.
