When it was announced that Lee Corso’s final College GameDay show would air live from Columbus ahead of a massive showdown between No. 1 Texas and No. 3 Ohio State, it felt like everything had come full circle.
Columbus is where Corso first grabbed a mascot head (Brutus, naturally) and lit up the college football world back in 1996. Now, nearly 40 years later, he’ll hang up his GameDay gear in the same place, with the same energy but an added emotional weight.
The timing couldn’t be more fitting. Corso has spent nearly four decades entertaining and predicting Saturdays with his now-iconic catchphrase “Not so fast, my friend!
