Denzel Burke Gives Ohio State Its First Three-Game Pick-Six Streak Since 2016

Pick-six, Ohio State. Sound familiar?

When true freshman Buckeye cornerback Denzel Burke intercepted a pass by Rutgers quarterback Noah Vedral and returned it for a touchdown in the first quarter of Saturday's game, Ohio State recorded its third pick-six in the past three games.

Burke's big play put the Buckeyes ahead 14-0 after the extra point, and the touchdown return went for 23 yards. Against Tulsa two weeks ago, redshirt freshman safety Cameron Martinez returned an interception 61 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, and third-year bullet Ronnie Hickman took a pick to the house on a 65-yard return.
