Dallan Hayden, Cody Simon Among Ohio State Backups Who Play Bigger Roles in Blowout Win over Purdue

Ohio State had one of its most dominant performances of the first half of the season in its 41-7 win over Purdue on Saturday, and the Buckeyes’ backups got more opportunities to play as a result.

Even while the game was still on the line, numerous backups played bigger roles than they had all season against Purdue. The headliner among them was Dallan Hayden, who ended up playing most of the game at running back after playing only three snaps in Ohio State’s first five games of the season. Gee Scott Jr., Cody Simon and Jordan Hancock were among the other Buckeyes who also played season-high snap counts off the bench.
