College football | Ohio highlights: John Carroll ends Mount Union's historic winning streak

John Carroll ended Mount Union's NCAA-record 112-game regular-season winning streak and its 24-year run of Ohio Athletic Conference titles when William Woods caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Moeglin with 39 seconds to play, lifting the visiting Blue Streaks to a 31-28 victory on Saturday.

Since Baldwin Wallace was OAC champion in 1991, Mount Union had won the outright title every season except 1994, when it shared with Baldwin Wallace and John Carroll. It also marked the Purple Raiders' first regular-season loss since a 21-14 defeat to Ohio Northern on Oct. 22, 2005.

Moeglin passed for 239 yards and three TDs, and Ro Golphin rushed for 119 yards and a score for John Carroll (9-1, 9-0).
