Buckeyes’ Passing Attack, Defense Look Like Nation’s Best Against Minnesota

Ohio State emphatically answered any questions about its passing game agains Minnesota.

The Buckeyes ran a more conservative race against Washington last week but opened their passing attack to full throttle against the Golden Gophers, with quarterback Julian Sayin finishing 23-of-27 for 326 yards and three touchdowns.

Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate looked like the two best individual receivers in the country, as Tate racked up nine receptions for 183 yards and a touchdown to go with a pair of touchdowns for Smith.

On the flip side, it was a complete team performance from Ohio State's defense.
