The 2021-2022 college football season is underway and the Buckeyes went into Huntington Bank Stadium and did what they were supposed to do. Win.
The Buckeyes defeated the Golden Gophers 45-31 and are now 1-0 in Big Ten play as the biggest test of the season comes into Columbus next Saturday, the Oregon Ducks.
C.J. Stroud noted in his press conference after the game he was nervous and rattled at times early — this is expected for a redshirt Freshman playing his first live action in two years. Stroud handled the adversity well coming out strong in the second half.
